什么是水鉆?有哪些特征?

很多朋友在購買飾品的時候,經常會聽到“水鉆”這個詞,大概意思都明白就是仿鉆石。其實水鉆只是對仿鉆石的統稱,而水鉆又是有很多區分的。那么所謂的“水鉆”到底是什么呢?它與真正的鉆石又有什么樣的區別呢?下面介紹的就是大家在市面上通常會見到的“水鉆”的種類:

1、玻璃:用玻璃磨成的假鉆石很容易區別,因為它的折光率低,沒有真鉆石那種閃爍的彩色光芒,稍有經驗的人一看便知。而這種“水鉆”經常用于比較廉價的飾品中。

2、人造尖晶石:它缺少鉆石閃爍的彩色光芒,將它浸入二碘甲烷中,其輪廓會模糊。而真鉆石的輪廓則十分清楚。

3、人造藍寶石:無色透明的人造藍寶石在琢磨后也可作為鉆石的代用品。但它在“二碘甲烷”中幾乎消失不見,而真鉆石的邊緣暗黑,非常清楚。

4、水晶和黃玉:這兩種天然礦物的透明晶體,經琢磨后也與鉆石相似,但都缺少鉆石璀璨的光彩。而且它們都是“非均質體”,而鉆石是“均質體”,用偏光儀比較容易區分。

5、鋯石:在人造立方氧化鋯出現之前,鋯石是最佳的鉆石代用品。鋯石具有很強的雙折射,即它有兩個折光率,并且兩個折光率之間的差別較大。由此而產生了一種很特殊的光學現象,當用放大鏡觀察琢磨好的鋯石棱面寶石時,由其頂面可以看出底部的面和棱線有明顯的雙影。而鉆石因為是“均質體”,絕無雙影現象。

6、立方氧化鋯(即“蘇聯鉆”):這是首先由原蘇聯推出的最理想的鉆石代用品或冒充品,是人造化合物,無天然礦物。由于立方氧化鋯在折光率、色散等方面與天然鉆石很接近。但它的硬度較低(8.5)比重為鉆石的1.6—1.7倍,達5.6—6,且導熱性遠低于鉆石,故仍可用儀器準確地將其與鉆石區分開來。

大家終于明白“水鉆”的概念了吧,除了“水鉆”中的玻璃比較易于分辨外,其它的“水鉆”一般最主要的還是要看光澤。一般情況下,在自然光線下,鉆石的光彩是“水鉆”仿制品無法比擬的(但也有例外,如鈦酸鍶假鉆石和莫桑石,光彩甚至超過真鉆石)。建議大家,在日常購買時,要實在拿捏不準的就不要購買或者在帶有專業權威的檢測機構出具的證書保障下再購買。
